This impressive residence located in the Laurel Canyon section of Hollywood Hills Los Angeles is a remodeled house designed by Michael Parks. Parks created horizontal and vertical volumes to define the house’s appearance with a strategic and artful interplay. The remodeled house features high end wood frames, floor to ceiling windows, granite flooring and Venetian plaster treated walls.

Although there were issues like severe dry rot and termite damage, unconnected window frames, a poor floor plan, rotted kitchen floor, poor ventilation, no insulation and only one proper bedroom, Parks still managed to look at the house’s incredible, unrealized potential. As a result, a sleek, open, airy and inviting modern architecture was made.
